Project Leader:

Sophie Ramsay

Sophie manages Bamff Wildland and has been leading on the Braes of Alyth project since January 2023. Her background is in philosophy (including environmental philosophy) and singing.

Project Manager:

Bronwen Fraser

Bronwen has a Geography degree from the University of Cambridge and has carried out ecological fieldwork in Scotland, Siberia and Tenerife. Prior to Bamff she worked as a Project Manager for Proforest, advising multinational food manufacturers on sustainable agriculture. She has worked for Bamff Wildland, managing the Braes of Alyth project with Sophie, since January 2023.

Duncan & Maja Pepper
(River Revivers)

Duncan has a degree in ecology from Aberdeen University and prior to River Revivers worked as a biologist for fisheries trusts in Scotland.  

Maja graduated from Valencia University with a masters equivalent (superior degree) in Environmental Engineering with a specialisation in river geomorphology. 

 Since university Duncan and Maja have been designing and delivering river restoration projects for TRAGSA in Spain, The Argyll Fisheries Trust, Nature Scot, The Woodland Trust and various private estate owners in Scotland.

Richard Lockett

Lockett Agri-Environmetal

Richard Lockett has over 20 years of experience as a conservation and land management adviser. He worked for 10 years as a Farm Conservation Adviser for Perthshire FWAG before establishing Lockett Agri-Environmental in 2009.

Leanne Tough

Leanne is a freelance GIS consultant by night and a member of WWT’s science team by day. She specialises in all things GIS from data management to creating interactive maps for people to use.”

Gemma is a rewilding communicator, graphic illustrator and animal behaviourist, based in the Cairngorms National Park. She is passionate about sharing stories of nature restoration through digital artwork, infographics and written communications.

Georgina Weston
(Galbraith)

Georgina joined Galbraith in September 2019 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in the Edinburgh Office. She currently undertakes a variety of work including management of rural estates in the Scottish Borders and East Lothian, and has an interest in land management, landscape design and natural capital. 

Dave is based at Bamff Wildland, where he works with rewilding and food growing projects, plus photography, film, music, and website design.

Tamsin Morris
Walking the Talk

Tamsin Morris is a self-employed ecologist who specialises in providing 
advice on integrating farming and wildlife, particularly in freshwater 
environments.  She has worked throughout Scotland and is based in 
Aberdeenshire.
