There are presently three species of amphibians at Bamff:
Common Frog
Common Toad
Palmate Newt
..and one species of reptile:
Common Lizard
These have all benefited greatly from habitat creation afforded by beaver activities. So much so that annual mass migrations of frogs and toads are a regular sight at Bamff.
The beaver habitats are now being considered for reintroductions of both Smooth Newt and the rare Great Crested Newt. Also being considered are the Agile Frog, Pool Frog and the Moor Frog.
Reptiles considered for introduction at Bamff include the Grass Snake.
